Christine Kelly, Pharmacist

District 9

The simple but powerful message that CAPS has enveloped as a mission statement is “United We Stand, Together We Thrive”.

As one of the key spokespersons for the activations through CAPS, I am fully committed and driven to fighting for our rights and demanding the respect we deserve. Throughout my tenure at CAPS, actions have spoken louder than words and created the best outcomes. That’s why my priority is action. Having our voices heard can only do so much, it’s time for our voices to be listened to.

As an Inner West Pharmacist owner, it is more important than ever to have a strong and united voice in our profession. I will continue to represent the best interests of community pharmacies and their patients, through shaping policies and regulations that affect our daily practice.

My commitment to the cause isn’t just about the current climate, it’s about the future of our profession and the wellbeing of our patients. I faithfully ask you to let my devotion to a better future for pharmacy be the driving force for change.

Thriving together means that we need to innovate, motivate, and most importantly, activate.

Other healthcare professionals do not dictate how Pharmacists can work to full scope.

Never can we say “We can’t do that” because we will irritate “this group” or “that group”!

A vote for Christine is a vote for:

  • Restoring the NSW Pharmacy Guild branch to national leadership.

  • Proper remuneration for ODT.

  • Subsidised Influenza vaccinations.

  • Scope extension not to be “tokenistic” and not a “piecemeal” basis.
