Emil Demyane, Pharmacist
District 6
The simple but powerful message that CAPS has enveloped as a mission statement is “United We Stand, Together We Thrive”.
Being the eldest of brothers who all chose pharmacy as their career path, which led to us owning and operating pharmacies for close to 10 years, pharmacy and community health is an all-or-nothing commitment for me.
This has been the driving force in my participation in CAPS and our relentless efforts to advocate for our patients and the viability of community pharmacy in Australia.
CAPS organised a gathering of thousands of pharmacists in Sydney and at the doorstep of Parliament House to ensure all decision makers heard our voices with the power to bring sustainability to our industry.
It is time for change within the Guild - we need action. With your support, I will foster unity within our state, and we will strive to improve remuneration for services and protect our most critical location rules.
Thriving together means that we need to innovate, motivate, and most importantly, activate.
It’s Time for Change!
Owner of banner & independent community pharmacies with 15 years of experience
Key organiser and media spokesperson for CAPS
Senior political relationships
Supporter of professional services development & implementation
Other healthcare professionals do not dictate how Pharmacists can work to full scope!
Never can we say “We can’t do that” because we will irritate “this group” or “that group”!
A vote for Emil is a vote to:
Uphold pharmacy ownership laws in NSW.
Restore the NSW Pharmacy Guild branch to national leadership.
Restore productive Government relations.
Build a cohesive and united NSW branch team.
Support rural funding.
Maintain viable dispensary remuneration.
Realistic remuneration for all extended scope of practice roles.
