Peppe Raso, Pharmacist
District 7
The simple but powerful message that CAPS has enveloped as a mission statement is “United We Stand, Together We Thrive”.
As an Illawarra Pharmacist owner, I believe it is critical now to have a strong and united voice in our profession; this is why the Guild needs strong and dedicated representation. I will continue to represent the best interests of community Pharmacies and their patients by helping shape policies and regulations that affect our daily practice.
I want to ensure that NSW Pharmacies are leading in innovation and not being led by other states. All parties involved in the 8CPA negotiations and the 60-day dispensing policy rollout must be held accountable for the many promises that have been made.
This is about our patients and our community!
It is time for change within the Guild. Let’s meet the challenges we are facing with action, and let our commitment and drive be the force for change. Let’s continue to fight for our profession and make sure that our voices are heard.
Together, we can innovate, motivate and most importantly, activate.
It’s Time for Change!

Other healthcare professionals do not dictate how Pharmacists can work to full scope!
Never can we say “We can’t do that” because we will irritate “this group” or “that group”!
A vote for Peppe is a vote for:
Restoring the NSW Pharmacy Guild branch to national leadership.
Proper remuneration for ODT.
Subsidised Influenza vaccinations.
Scope extension not to be “tokenistic” and not a “piecemeal” basis.
Full scope of practice to be rolled out ASAP. Prescribing “trials” and “pilots” to be the thing of the past!
OCP policy to be updated and unrestricted to allow equitable access across all states to all OCP for all ages.
Continued defence of S3 category and removal of down scheduling of S2 medications.
Mandatory SafeScript usage for prescribers in the state of NSW.
Proper remuneration for the dispensary that ensures viability after 60DD full introduction.
